Summary:

Kino is a fisherman, he and his wife, Juana, have a child, Coyotito. In that morning, a scorpion sting Coyotito. They bring him to see the ductor, however, the ductor even doesn't take a look at them because Kino can't pay his fee.
On that morning, Kino goes to dive again. He finds a great pearl. Everyone knows and and they all want that. Kino only has the pearl for three nights but he has been beaten every night. Juana tries to throw the pearl away, but Kino catches her.
Kino knows the village is not save for them to live, they decide to go away, but others break their boat and burn their house. They hide in Kino's brother, Juan Tomas' house for one day and make an exodus again. This time, Coyotito is kill by a bullet. Later, they return to the village and throw the pearl to the Gulf.
